Philippians and Philemon
This course is a study of Paul’s letters to the saints at Philippi and his brief note to Philemon. It seeks to explain the general meaning of each of the letters in a simple and understandable manner.
In the letter to the Philippians, Paul explains why he is sending Epaphroditus back, and thanks them for their gift. He counsels them on humility and unity. He commends them and then warns them about Judaizers who would change the basis of truth faith. Themes that are very relevant to us today.
The letter from Paul to Philemon is a private letter that has been preserved for us. It concerns the return of a slave called Onesimus to Philemon. It illustrates the change in ones life through salvation and shows Paul’s affection for Onesimus.
