You ARE Invited!
Emmaus International (formerly Emmaus Correspondence School), has answered God’s call to start LIT (Life In Truth) Discipleship. The very first part of the vision God has given is an event called SPARK. Mt Hermon, California, is the launching ground for this first part of the vision, and Spark California will take place November 17-19, 2017.
What is Spark? All about inspiring true discipleship.
- 7 teaching sessions (Main Speaker – Micah Tuttle)
- 2 breakout sessions
- Worship, prayer, and reflection
- In-action discipleship training
- 3 months of online follow up (Oxygen)
Seven Emmaus International team members will support the worship, prayer, activities, and breakout sessions.
Spark California launches Emmaus International's North American vision
- to support local churches by igniting a passion for Christ to make His name great among the nations,
- to equip local church leaders in identifying future leaders and successfully passing the baton to the next generation,
- and to equip Christian young people to work within the context of their local churches to evangelize and disciple others.
Spark California has been designed for young adults (18+), college/career individuals, youth leaders, youth pastors, elders, pastors, and church leaders. The event features inspirational teaching from missionary Micah Tuttle and teacher Jonny Loveless, as well as intentional times of worship, reflection, and action. All participants will be given exclusive access to a three-month follow-up program (Oxygen) focused on biblical studies, practical application to local church contexts, and intentional interaction with other Spark California participants.

Age Requirement: Attendees must be at least 18 years old to attend Spark California.
Accommodations: Mount Hermon Redwood Camp is simple and rustic. Men and women will be separated into men’s and women’s cabins, each of which consists of four sets of bunk beds. Be sure to bring your sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and toiletries! Restrooms and showers are located a short walk from the cabins. Unfortunately, due to space, we cannot house married couples together. Children's and nursery services are not provided.
What to Bring:
- Clothing appropriate for November in California
- Sleeping bag
- Water bottle
Special Diet Accommodations: Mount Hermon Food Services understands that guests have a variety of tastes and dining preferences. With this in mind, they offer buffet meals filled with a wide range of tasty and healthy choices — with enough options for those who prefer an all-vegetarian meal. Mount Hermon desires every guest experience be the very best, especially at mealtimes. If you have a special dietary need due to a food allergy or intolerance, they are willing to help and will do their very best to accommodate special diet needs. Further details on this process are supplied after registration.
Drive-Ins: Retreat attendees must stay on site during the weekend. Please do not leave camp to visit friends or spend the night at nearby homes. The purpose of the Spark Conference is to gather together at Camp to focus on the Lord. For security purposes and because of space issues, we cannot allow unregistered visitors to participate in the weekend retreat. Those who have not registered for Spark may not attend sessions through the weekend.
